There are different levels of depression from mild to severe.
It is a clinically medically diagnosed condition.

Under no circumstances should anyone taking prescribed medication , reduce or stop taking that medication without supervision of the doctor.

Some depression can be a reaction to certain  stressful  events in  life.

Some depression can be of a genetic nature.

Some depression can be linked to SAD syndrome.   Seasonal affective disorder that occurs during seasons with low sunlight.

Hypnotherapy is not recommended if you are diagnosed with bi polar disorder, schizophrenia, personality disorder or severe depression.
